Elizabeth H. Casner

Elizabeth H. Casner, 94, of Pogue Road, Three Springs, PA, died Monday, December 16, 2019 at her home.

Born September 6, 1925 in Spruce Creek Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Alta (Graffious) Gill. She was united in marriage to Jesse H. Casner in 1946. Mr. Casner preceded in death.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary J. Palmer of Newburg, PA, Susan E. Jaymes and her husband Edward of RD, Mt. Union, PA and Kathy L. McClure and her husband Earl of RD, Three Springs, PA. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and three siblings, Margaret McCarthy of Harrisburg, PA, William Gill of Bellefonte, PA and Paul Gill of Shippensburg, PA. Two brothers, Kenneth Gill and Robert Gill, preceded in death.

Mrs. Casner was a member of the Allenport United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years and helped with the church nursery. She was the coordinator of the Spring Farms Release Time. She served on the Southern Huntingdon School Board for 6 years. She graduated from the former Alexandria High School in the Class of 1943. 

She retired from Robin Footwear, Inc., Mt. Union, PA after 20 years service.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Brian Myfelt officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday at the Seven Stars Cemetery, 5160 Warriors Mark Path, Tyrone, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
