Elaine R. Salvino

Elaine R. Salvino, 87, of Harrisburg, PA, died Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Columbia Cottages, Harrisburg.

Born July 16, 1937 at Rockhill Furnace, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Frances (Locke) Rogers. She was united in marriage to Joseph Salvino on October 1, 1960. Mr. Salvino preceded in death on October 3, 2013.

She is survived by one sister, Polly Piper of Rockhill Furnace. One sister, Carolyn Welsh, preceded in death.

Mrs. Salvino was a member of the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church and had also attended Progress Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, PA.

She retired from Bell Telephone Company, working in Philadelphia, PA and later in Harrisburg. After retirement, she and her husband owned and operated Salvino’s Guest House, Orbisonia, PA for a number of years.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church, 324 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Nancy Rogers and Rev. Duane Romberger officiating. Interment will be made privately at Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
