Dorothy Jean Snair

Dorothy Jean Snair, 85, of Rockhill Furnace, PA, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Hershey Medical Center.

Born July 5, 1939 at Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Juniata (Attlesperger) Edwards. She was united in marriage to Freeman A. “Jim” Snair, Sr. on June 15, 1956 at Winchester, VA. Mr. Snair preceded in death on September 30, 2006. 

She is survived by eight children, Freeman Snair and wife Barbara of Shade Gap,PA, Andy Snair and wife Debbie of Rockhill Furnace, Kenneth Snair and wife Ruth of Three Springs, PA, Danny Snair and wife Jessica of Rockhill Furnace, Virginia Crouse of Orbisonia, PA, Tammy Mills and husband Craig of Rockhill Furnace, James Snair and wife Sandy of Shirleysburg, PA and Audy Snair and wife Wendy of Shirleysburg. 

She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and four siblings, Bill Wills, Chuck Attlesperger, Carol Smith and Harry Edwards, Jr. She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Deppen.

Mrs. Snair was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, Shirleysburg, PA.

During her life she was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, 17193 Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg,PA with Pastor Freeman Snair and Pastor Jonathan Whitsel officiating. Interment will be made at Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 17193 Hill Valley Road, Shirleysburg, PA 17260.
