Donald C. Stake, 70, of Saltillo, PA, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home.
Born on February 3, 1953 in Rockhill Furnace, PA, he was the son of the late Duane Stake and Helen (Rogers) Stake who survives of Rockhill Furnace, PA. He was united in marriage to Kay Thomas on June 9, 1973. Mrs. Stake survives at home.
In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Stake is survived by daughters Danielle Stake Morgan and Jennifer Stake Baker and husband Daryl, grandsons Cameron Morgan, Andrew Baker, Levi Morgan and Ethan Baker and brother James Stake.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Saltillo, Saltillo, PA and the Trough Creek Valley Sportsman Association.
Mr. Stake retired from the former Owens-Corning Fiberglas (now Superior Huntingdon Composites), Huntingdon, PA after 40 years of service.
During his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies and attending his grandsons various sporting events. His grandsons were the joy of his life.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Rex Shope officiating. Interment will be at Saltillo Cemetery, Saltillo, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.
