Donald H. Parsons

Donald H. Parsons, 68, of Orbisonia, PA, died Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.

Born on May 25, 1954 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Robert H. Parsons and Patricia A. (Park) Parsons, who survives of Lewistown, PA.  He was united in marriage to the former Connie Varner on February 14, 1976.  Mrs. Parsons survives at home.

Mr. Parsons is survived by siblings Robert J. Parsons, Shade Gap, PA and Kathy A. Ziegler, Rockhill Furnace, PA and sister-in-law Sharon Kidd and husband Jeffrey, Cassville, PA and brother-in-law Frank Varner and companion Joann Glunt.

During his lifetime, he worked at Benson’s Foundry, Pogue, PA, the former Grove (now Grove-Manitowac Crane Group), Greencastle, PA, for 28 years at Pet-Ritz, Chambersburg, PA, JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, PA and later at the former Interforest (now Danzer), Shade Gap, PA.  He was a mechanically inclined person who worked on and sold lawnmowers and also worked on cars.  The love of his life was his dog Carmella. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA.  Interment will be at Orbisonia Cemetery, Orbisonia, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
