Donald E. "Beanie" Miller

Donald E. “Beanie” Miller, 83, of Shade Gap, PA, died Friday, November 20, 2020 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA.

Born June 26, 1937 at Everett, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Jessie (Lake) Miller. He was united in marriage to the former Roxanna Mills on August 17, 1957. Mrs. Miller survives at their home.

He is also survived by four children, Cindy Miller and Andrew Miller, both of Shade Gap, PA, Denise Bradshaw and husband Brian of Charleston, SC and Brian Miller and wife Kelly of Shade Gap, PA, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister, Lou Emma Luttrell of Winchester, VA. Four brothers and three sisters preceded in death.

Mr. Miller attended the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, RD, Shade Gap, PA. He was a member of the Shade Gap Sportsman’s Club. 

He was the owner and operator of Miller’s Bargain House, Mt. Union, PA and “The Lot” in Mt.Union, after his retirement.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and marksman and also enjoyed tying flies.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, 22776 Piper Lane, Shade Gap, PA with Pastor Dan Fox officiating. Interment will be made at Fair Ridge Cemetery, adjacent to the church. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service on Tuesday.
