David L. Gischel

David L. Gischel, 78, of Colt Drive, Shade Gap, PA, died Friday, November 14, 2025 at his home.

Born January 10, 1947 at Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Lester and Mildred (Hranicka) Gischel. He was united in marriage to the former Barbara Goff on March 29, 1969. Mrs. Gischel preceded in death on October 4, 2018.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela Gischel and Susan Gischel, both of Shade Gap, four grandchildren, Charles Higgs, Crystal Higgs and fiance Matthew Garris, Brittany McCray and Wilfred McCray and three great grandchildren, Desari Higgs, Camren McCray and Skylee Garris

During his life he owned and operated Valley Machine, LLC, Shade Gap, PA.

Mr. Gischel was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
