Clyde E. Stains, 87, of Orbisonia, PA, died Sunday, May 24, 2020 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.
Born December 13, 1932 in Springfield Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Hiram and Roxie (Wilson) Stains.
He is survived by four siblings, Margaret Horton of St. Thomas, PA, Cloyd Stains of Three Springs, PA, Raymond Stains of Ft. Loudon, PA and Paul Stains of St. Thomas, PA and a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Ernest Wayne and Merrill Stains, preceded in death.
Mr. Stains had been a member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA.
He was employed by Harbison-Walker Refractories, Mt. Union, PA and JLG Industries, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
Mr. Stains was a veteran of the U. S.Army serving from 1953 until 1955.
He was an avid sportsman who especially enjoyed fishing.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at Walnut Grove Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA.
