Charles A. Williams, Sr., 77, of Shade Gap, PA, died Friday, January 14, 2022 at Menno Haven at Chambers Pointe, Chambersburg, PA.
Born October 5, 1944 at Mt. Union, PA, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Alvertia (Beatty) Williams. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley M. Bair who survives at their home.
He is also survived by four sons, Charles “Skip” Williams, Jr. and wife Lisa of Lake Ariel, PA, Mike Williams and wife Jodi of Orbisonia, PA, Jon Williams and fiance Crystal Taylor of Blairs Mills, PA and Scott Williams and wife Lori of Neelyton, PA, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two sisters, Anna Clark of Lewistown, PA and Sharon Parsons of Blairs Mills. One sister, Nancy White, preceded in death.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, PA. He was also a member of the Shade Gap Area Fire Company, the Shade Gap Lions Club and the Chambersburg American Legion.
He retired in 1999 from the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA.
He enjoyed hunting and traveling and was very fond of his dog, Buster.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving for 6 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, 22776 Piper Lane, Shade Gap, PA. Interment will be made at Fair Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the church 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
