Charles Wayne Dixon, 86, of Dover, PA passed on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at WellSpan York Hospital.
Born August 7, 1939 at West Decatur, Clearfield County, PA he was the son of the late Edgar and Alma (Shimmel) Dixon.
He is survived by his wife Nancy (Crews) Dixon, two sons, a daughter and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
One sister survives. Six siblings preceded in death.
He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963.
In his early career, he was employed by Graham Architectural Products, York, PA and later retired as a regional sales manager for TRACO, Cranberry Township, PA.
An avid sportsman who supported wildlife conservation, his favorite pastime was hunting grouse with his friends along with his beloved Brittanys.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York, PA 17408. A visitation will be held from 4—6:00 PM prior to the service.
