Carrie A. (Morgan) Armstrong, 62, of Newton Hamilton, PA, passed away on May 25, 2026 at Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA.
Born on August 7, 1963 in Huntingdon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred Morgan, Sr. and Lois (Krause) Morgan. She was united in marriage to Roger Armstrong on July 17, 2015 in Winchester, VA. Mr. Armstrong survives at home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Eric Varner, Shirleysburg, PA and Jared Varner, USAF (ret.) and wife Amy, Minot, ND, step-daughter Brittany Armstrong, grandchildren Hunter, Autumn and Zachery, step-grandchildren Anastasia, Aribella, Camden and Cayson and sister Cynthia Brightbill and husband David.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by brothers Dale Morgan, David Morgan, Fred Morgan, Jr., and Richard Morgan, nieces Danielle Morgan and Amy Shore and sister-in-law Susan Morgan.
Mrs. Armstrong was a former Orbisonia/Rockhill Homecoming Queen in 1979. She was a graduate of Southern Huntingdon County High School - Class of 1981.
Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, Lewistown, PA and served on the Newton Hamilton Borough Council.
She had a strong faith, loved tending to her flowers and keeping her porch beautiful, enjoyed traveling and took pride in tending to her getaway home in Blacklog Valley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Connie Maclay officiating. Interment will be at Shope Cemetery, Orbisonia, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
