Carl E. “Jack” Wilson, 80, of Ridge Road, Mapleton Depot, PA, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at home.
Born on March 14, 1941 in Pogue, he was the son of the late Lehman R. and Iva J. (Rutter) Wilson. He was married to the former Bettie A. Tharp on October 6, 1962. Mrs. Wilson preceded in death on August 19, 2006.
Mr. Wilson is survived by son Terry Wilson, Mapleton Depot, PA, and daughters Kathleen Wilson, Mount Union, PA and Cynthia Norris, Huntingdon, PA. Four grandchildren, Richard Wilson, Mitchell Shields, Logan Norris and Orray Wilson, and two great-grandchildren, Adam Beatty and Nicholas Cotterman also survive.
He is survived by brother Ronald Wilson and wife Sandra, Three Springs, PA, and sisters Darlene Hockenberry, Mt. Union, PA, Janet Wilson Nead and husband Bill, Mapleton Depot, PA, and Linda North, Three Springs, PA.
A granddaughter, Ashley Wilson, preceded in death.
Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was a member of Cromwell Lodge #572, Free and Accepted Masons, Orbisonia, PA, American Legion Post 322, Mapleton Depot, PA and the Jack’s Mountain Snowmobiling Club.
During his lifetime, Mr. Wilson was employed by Sprint as a lineman and was an avid hunter.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton Depot, PA with Pastor Carl Horne officiating.
