Betty Lou "Bea" Covert

Betty Lou “Bea” Covert, 84, of Wible Reunion Road, Three Springs, PA, died Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born November 18, 1940 at Mt. Union, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Louise (Gallaher) Madden. She was united in marriage to Alvin “Buzz” Covert on October 28, 1960. Mr. Covert survives at their home.

She is also survived by a sister in law, Sharon Horne of Three Springs and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother Lee Madden.

Mrs. Covert was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God, Three Springs, PA. She was also a member of Westly Yeager Post 606, American Legion, Fort Loudon, PA.

During her life she was employed for many years at Sagner, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA and later at the Southern Huntingdon County School district as a teacher’s aide. 

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Joe Myers and Pastor Mike Walker officiating.
