Berry Lynn Brown, 58, of Shade Gap, PA, passed from this earthly life into his
heavenly reward on Sunday, Nov 28th, 2021.
Born June 1, 1963, at Aurora, MO, he was the son of the late Ernest Brown Sr, and
the late Julie (Phipps) Brown. He was united in marriage in 1980 to his best friend
and adoring wife, Tracey (Burleson) Brown, who survives at home.
He is survived by 2 sons, Chris and his wife, Sydney, of Galena MO, who have 2
children, Creed and Raelynn, and Justin and his wife, Rachel, of Spokane WA,
who have 2 children, Soren and Rory. Berry had a very special place in his heart
for his wife, sons and their precious families.
He is also survived by 1 brother, Ernest Brown, Jr and his wife, Rosie, of Blue
Springs MO, 3 sisters, Donita (Dabby) Phipps of Endicott, NY, Charity Rowell, of
Springfield, MO, and Serena Jenkins, of Bolivar, MO, as well as a host of other
relatives, friends and colleagues.
Berry Brown was a good man. Everyone who knew Berry knew that if you asked
for help he would come prepared for anything! His passion to help others was
driven by a love for God and a love for others (Mark 12:30-31). This was a love
that drove him (a man who sweats in freezing temperatures) to move across the
globe to serve as a missionary throughout Africa. This same love led him to serve
as a pastor in rural Pennsylvania, away from his Missouri home and family.
Berry was also an avid deer and bear hunter, bass fisherman, and loved spending
time with his wife and family. He was blessed with a special talent of being able
to fix about anything and he ministered to people in many ways.
He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
