Barry L. Neil

Barry L. Neil, 73, a resident of the Shirley Home, Shirleysburg, PA, met his Savior on November 19, 2021 at the Shirley Home.

Born August 25, 1948, he was a son of the late Donald G. , Sr. and Louise (Freet) Neil. 

He is survived by two sisters, Violet Shields and Eleanore Smith and one brother, Daniel Neil. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald G. Neil, Jr.

Barry was a special man and everyone he met was his friend. He was loved by all in the valley. He was one of God’s messengers. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16 and his favorite hymn was “How Far Is Heaven”. Barry was a member of the Shady Pine Mennonite Church, Willow Hill, PA. He loved living at the Shirley Home because they treated him like family. 

Barry left a print on everyone’s heart. He will be missed by everyone and we believe he is already trying his Angel Wings.” Forever in our hearts”.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Shady Pine Mennonite Church, 14620 Shady Pine Road, Willow Hill, PA with Rev. Marlin “Butch” Neil officiating.
