Allen D. Cisney

Allen D. Cisney, 66, of Shade Gap, PA, died Monday, February 19, 2024 at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

Born on April 28, 1957 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Cecil and Dora Emogene (Robinson) Cisney.  He was united in marriage to Denise R. Briggs on April 2, 1977.  Mrs. Cisney preceded in death on April 17, 2016.

Mr. Cisney is survived by son Shane A. Cisney and fiancé Kristina Carvalho, Fayetteville, PA, daughters Shanda R. Hoffman and husband Eric, Shade Gap, PA and Sheena B. Mellott and husband Fred, McConnellsburg, PA and grandchildren Taylor Hoffman, Jazzmine Cisney, Lindsey Cisney, Kinzley Cisney, Greysen Cisney and Aiden Carosi.

Siblings Danny Cisney, Shade Gap, PA and Bonnie Burkett, Greencastle, PA also survive.

During his lifetime, he worked as a painter at Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove, PA.  He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 11691 Circle St., Shade Gap, PA with Pastor Summer Love officiating.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
