Alice J. Strohm

Alice Jane Strohm, 84, of Bainbridge, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at her residence. Born in Rockhill Furnace, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Adaline (Rogers) Fleming. 

Alice worked various jobs throughout her life. One she enjoyed was being a caregiver. Family was most important to her. She loved having extended family spend summers at her home. A full house made Alice happy. 

Alice is survived by a son, Vernon Gordon, husband of Brenda Benedict of Bainbridge, PA; five grandchildren, Anne Gordon of Bainbridge, PA Shawn DeHart of Reinholds, PA, Michael Benedict of Elizabethtown, PA, Holly Kitson of Columbia, PA and McKenzie Benedict of Bainbridge, PA; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Ronnie Fleming of Orbisonia, PA, Kenny Booher of Mount Union, PA, and Timothy “Ed” Booher of Mount Union, PA; and a sister, Sally Hockenberry of Mount Union, PA; her bonus sons, Clarence Shipe and Elmer Shepler; and bonus granddaughters, Jacey Rehrer and Grace Butscher. 

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin DeHart; three sisters, Dorothy Miller, Mary Himes, and Catherine Gutshall; and two brothers, Lloyd and Clarence Fleming Jr.

A funeral service honoring, Alice’s life will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
