Alice M. Smith

Alice Margaret (Yoder) Smith, 101, of Smith Road, Orbisonia, PA, died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Lewistown Hospital. 

Born December 15, 1919 in Bratton Twp., Mifflin Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Nannie (Renninger) Yoder. She was united in marriage to Raymond R. Smith on May 6, 1939. Mr. Smith preceded in death on September 24, 1993.

She is survived by one son, C. David Smith and wife Pat of Orbisonia, PA, two daughters in law, Judy Smith and Karen Smith, five grandsons, Robert R. Smith, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Mark Smith and wife Tonya, Tim Smith and wife Stephanie, Chris Smith and wife Diane and David Smith. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, Benjamin R. Smith and companion Penny Beam, Logan H. Smith and wife McKenzie, Mason P. Smith, Andrea A. Smith, Emily Smith, Luke Smith, Emma Smith, Samantha Smith, Reagan Smith and Lane Smith and two great great grandchildren, Brandon Beam and Sophia Smith.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert R. Smith and L. Timothy Smith, one daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Smith, who preceded in death in 1945, four brothers, Lewis, Harry, Charles and Alden Yoder and three sisters, Hazel Shottsberger, Ruth Yoder and Ivy Johns.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Rockhill Church of the Brethren, Rockhill Furnace, PA.

During her life she was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Jim Yoder and Rev. Douglas Sherlock officiating. Interment will be made at Byron Run Cemetery, Blacklog Valley Road, Orbisonia, PA.
