Alda Rose Miller

Alda Rose Miller, 94, of Shade Gap, PA, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born August 12, 1931 at Shade Gap, she was a daughter of the late Howard “Bill” and Hilda (Baer) Miller.

She is survived by one sister, Jane Moore of Shade Gap and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Miller and Ted Miller.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Shade Gap, PA. 

She was also a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Worker’s Union.

She retired in 1994 from Owens-Corning Fiberglass, Huntingdon, PA. Prior to that she was employed at Dallco Industries, Inc., Rockhill Furnace, PA.

Miss Miller was known for her love of animals.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Joseph Barrett officiating. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
